Combat Circuit is a one of a kind training facility located at the famed American Kickboxing Academy (AKA). We incorporate plyometric medicine ball exercises, cardio machines, and heavy bags to create the ultimate, functional, full body workout. The exercises are safe, easy to follow, simple to learn.

Equipment

You’ll never workout on a weight lifting machine or lift a heavy barbell. We use only three different pieces of training equipment: full body cardio machines, medicine balls, and heavy bags.

Full Body Cardio

Combat Circuit employs full body cardio machines to ensure that you burn more calories, lose weight, and increase endurance. MMA fighters need to use their whole body for extended periods of time, so they need to be trained in that manner. Lower and upper body cardio machines maximize results, getting you in shape in less time than Crossfit or other workout routines.

Medicine Balls

Working out with medicine balls is the best way to mimic the strength needed in jiu jitsu, wrestling, and MMA fights. These exercises require you to use every muscle in your body in dynamic, functional movements that activate your core. Being strong and powerful from head to toe is essential in mixed martial arts.

Heavy Bags

Boxing and kickboxing training on the heavy bag is a great way to get in shape since striking movements require you to use your whole body explosively. Martial arts striking techniques encourage flexibility and power at the same time. Learn to use your body like a weapon and get in shape at the same time by simultaneously working on your technique and fitness on the heavy bag.

Layout

Students perform the workout at their own station, which includes a cardio machine, medicine ball, and heavy bag. You’ll never need to compete for access to your equipment during your workout, so you can train in your own space at your own pace.

All the exercises are performed by yourself, so your workout doesn’t depend upon the quality of a training partner. Start your workout on your schedule and push yourself to the limit.
