What
Thirty minutes of cardio intervals alternated with ten mixed martial arts conditioning exercises. Each cardio and MMA round lasts 90 seconds, and with each round brings a new exercise technique to challenge different parts of the body with different movements. Each exercise movement is chosen specifically to mimic the same techniques used in real MMA fights. Since no two workouts are completely the same, you’ll never get bored.
How
The circuit always begins with a round of cardio. To prepare for the upcoming conditioning round, students receive instructions from an experienced MMA fighter while riding the cardio machine. After learning the next exercise technique for the upcoming round, the exercise is then performed for 90 seconds. If anyone needs assistance with the exercises, the class instructor will be there to help you learn the moves.
Who
Beginner or UFC veteran, world class MMA fighters aren’t the only ones that see benefits from the Combat Circuit. Many people of all shapes, sizes, ages, and experience levels have already seen the results of this training system. Both the cardio and conditioning rounds can be performed at any intensity level, so students can push themselves appropriately without overdoing it.
Where
Every participant has his/her own station for the duration of the workout. This means that you’ll never be paired up with another person, so the quality of your workout won’t depend on the quality of your partner. With your own bag, mat space, cardio machine, and medicine ball, you’ll also never have to fight for access to equipment.
Why
MMA fighters are the most well rounded athletes on Earth. They need endurance, speed, strength, and flexibility to be successful. There’s a good reason that the pro fighters perform this type of workout three times a week at the AKA, it works. The exercises are designed to mimic MMA fighting techniques to teach the body to perform those movements with more power and stamina. Combat Circuit won’t just get you in shape, it will make you a better martial artist.
